Today is Zachary's first day of first grade. He was so excited to start school. As I stood there watching him standing in line with all of the other first graders I thought where did the last 6 years go? Today my little boy had the biggest smile I have seen on his face. I kept telling myself this is a great day and to keep smiling. Deep down inside my heart was breaking. As he walked away the tears started to run down my cheeks and the prayers started. I have to put my faith in God and know that he is going to watch over him and keep him safe.

Dinosaur Dig
Zachary wanted to have a dinosaur dig for his 6th birthday. I thought what a great idea. Well lets just say the concept was great the actual dig did not turnout as perfect. I buried 36 dinosaur skeletons in the sand box. I did not think I had buried them very deep or difficult to find. The kids started digging and about 5 minutes into the dig I started to notice the kids were having a little trouble finding the dinosaurs and they were getting a little frustrated. At that point I had David grab a big yard rake to start helping find the skeletons. By the end we had two more adults digging with a rake and a hoe. At this point I hear Zack say " This is so humiliating" I just had to laugh. The other funny thing is that when I was buring the dinosaurs Zack said "I think we should put string across the sand box and make like a grid, so we can find the dinosaurs easier." I said "No there is no reason to do that it isn't going to be that hard." I think this maybe the last party I get to plan for Zack.
