Right after we returned home from China last July Barbara another mom that adopted with us sent us this video. I loved it so much and have been meaning to share it with my family and friends.

Above pictures of Mackenzie at 9 months old at the orphanage. Below pictures of Mackenzie today.
A year ago today was our "Match Day" we received our first pictures of Long Mei Ke. David and I knew we wanted to name our new daughter Mackenzie in honor of my Grandma McKenzie Franek. We wanted her to know that from the beginning she was part of our family. The funny thing is they always talk about the Irish temper and let me tell you Mackenzie is living up to her Irish name.

Mother's Day!
Mother's Day 2006 was my first Mother's Day as a Mom. On that day David gave me a charm bracelet with two charms on it. One charm was a heart with our wedding date on it and the second charm was a little boy with Zachary's birthday on it. By this time David and I had received our documents from China saying that we we logged into China for our adoption. After I opened the charm bracelet David said to me that next years present would be the little girls charm with our daughters name and birthdate. Everyone who is reading this knows that did not happen. Yesterday my bracelet was complete. David had a little girls charm added to my bracelet with Mackenzie 06-14-2009 on one side and Gatch day 06-28-2010 on the other. It was a perfect Mother's Day.

Easter Egg Hunt.
On Easter we went next door to our friends Laurie and Kris's House so that the kids could hunt for eggs with Karisa. Zachary loves spending time with Karisa.
Mackenzie decided that Zachary's basket had more eggs in it so she decided to take it instead of her own.
KK dumped her eggs out of her basket. Zachary knows his little sister all to well and decided it would be best to keep her from getting to close to Karisa's eggs. He knew she would think they need to be in her basket.
